Do you have a genre project in development? Don’t miss the opportunity to register for Blood Window LAB! Participate in pitch sessions and meetings with experts in the fantasy genre who will help you create key alliances for your project.

We are excited to announce the opening of an exclusive call for producers and creators with audiovisual projects in the fantasy genre at the development stage. This call invites them to participate in activities where they can present their projects before a jury and industry professionals, thereby generating new alliances and co-productions. This is the ideal space for creators to connect with experts, explore funding opportunities, and bring their ideas to the screen.

Program:

Pitching Sessions: These will take place between December 2nd and December 6th, 2024, at the Ventana Sur Market, Montevideo, Uruguay. During the sessions, representatives of each project will have the opportunity to pitch and promote their projects before a jury and industry professionals. Winning projects will participate in training and industry events.

Meeting Tables: Scheduled meetings with industry representatives.

Blood Window LAB Awards: Projects may receive awards for participation in international training and industry events.

REGISTRATION AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• The projects must be in a recognizable Fantasy Genre – Horror, Science Fiction, and Fantasy. Productions that combine these subgenres with others recognizable within suspense, action, crime, black comedy, and/or variations thereof will also be considered.
• Projects open to international co-producers will be considered for selection.
• Only for feature films, animation, and series with majority or minority production with an Ibero-American country including Italy. Ibero-American Countries
• Priority will be given to projects with at least 30% of the budget secured.
• Projects must have potential interest for the international market.
• Projects that have been selected in previous editions or registered more than once in Blood Window LAB will not be accepted.
• Blood Window LAB only accepts projects in development.

SELECTED PROJECTS

• The curation of the projects will be carried out by a team made up of filmmakers, producers, festival representatives, and international sales agents specializing in genre cinema.
• The official announcement will be made starting October 21st.
• Selected projects must have a representative at the Market (director and/or producer) who will make the pitch, who will receive accreditation for Ventana Sur free of charge. If there is no representative at the event, the project will be removed from the list of finalists and replaced by another.
• Accommodation and transportation costs are the responsibility of each project’s representatives.
