ITA - Italian Trade Agency is the Governmental agency that supports the business development of our companies abroad and promotes the attraction of foreign investment in Italy. - promoting the internationalization of the Italian audiovisual industry. ITA is committed to expand Italian film exports, supporting the presence of Italian films and TV content at festivals and markets such as Cannes Marché du Film, Berlinale/EFM, TIFF- Toronto International Film Festival, MipCom, Hot Docs, Mifa and more;

- supporting the Italian Film Commissions in attracting films and TV inward investment, promoting Italy as a film making destination, and the Italian film service and technical industry as a partner of choice;
- fostering co-production projects by helping to connect Italian filmmakers (producers, writers, directors) with international counterparts;
- helping Italian film and TV festivals to grow internationally by inviting to Italy buyers, producers, broadcasters, commissioning editors, and other foreign representatives of the audiovisual sector.

ANICA is the Italian film, audiovisual and multimedia industries association. Its goal is to establish relationships with the key players for the promotion of Italian film and audiovisual content in Italy and abroad.

As the representative of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Italy, ANICA is the organization appointed to select the Italian Oscar candidate for the best foreign film category.

Since its inception, ANICA has been promoting Italian cinema at major international markets and film festivals. In recent years, the Association has launched several projects to promote the distribution of Italian films as well as the internationalization of Italian driven content. With this objective in mind, and together with the Association of TV Producers APA, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affair and International Cooperation, Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, ITA - Italian Trade Agency and Lazio Region, ANICA has created MIA, the International Audiovisual Market, which takes place in autumn in Rome.

With the support of DGCA - MiBACT and ITA - Italian Trade Agency, the International Department of ANICA organizes activities abroad for Italian producers and international distributors. DGCA – MiBACT, the Directorate-General Cinema and Audiovisual (DGCA) is a department of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBACT).

DGCA – MiBACT supports the creation, production, distribution and promotion of film and audiovisual content, supports movie theaters and technical industries, and represents Italy in relationship to the EU and other international institutions. It also supports professional training and media education, as well as studies and analyses on audiovisual sector.

DGCA – MiBACT manages the Fund for the development of investments in film and audiovisual with a minimum annual amount of € 400 million. The financial support system is based on three mechanisms of intervention: tax credits, automatic support, selective support.
