Primer Corte is the Ventana Sur section dedicated to supporting Latin American fiction feature films in post-production, creating opportunities for their completion, international circulation, and access to the international market. The program connects selected films with producers, sales agents, distributors, festival programmers, and other accredited industry professionals, fostering their integration into the international circuit.

The selection committee will choose up to six fiction feature films that will be presented to an audience of industry professionals and will be eligible for awards consisting of post-production services and other incentives aimed at supporting the completion of the films and strengthening their international reach. During Ventana Sur, the selected films will have a screening in a cinema venue and will then be available in the Video Library for all accredited professionals. They will also be included in the Industry in Progress catalogue, increasing their visibility and expanding opportunities to connect with potential partners and buyers.

Films in Progress (FIP) will highlight up to six titles submitted to Primer Corte and Copia Final, with a special focus on Latin American fiction feature films in co-production with Europe. The initiative will enhance their visibility through inclusion in the Video Library and access to dedicated awards, expanding their opportunities for circulation and connection with the international industry
