About VS TECH
Ventana Sur Tech, in its first edition, will be Ventana Sur’s newest section, designed as a key meeting point to explore emerging trends in technological innovation applied to the creation, production, formats, and distribution of audiovisual content in Latin America.
Aimed at students, filmmakers, producers, platforms, digital creators, video game developers, distributors, investors, and key figures from the tech ecosystem, VS TECH presents a disruptive program that includes panels and keynotes with renowned speakers, screenings of content created with artificial intelligence, hands-on workshops on vertical microfiction production, and networking spaces focused on the future of the audiovisual industry.
Its goal is to spark new conversations between technology and the audiovisual sector, showcase emerging regional talent, and promote strategic alliances that enable new ways and formats of storytelling, production, and audience engagement.
VS TECH 2025: Humans + AI. 10 Latin American projects that represent an innovative advance in audiovisuals
Within the framework of Ventana Sur Río de la Plata 2025, the leading Latin American audiovisual market organized by the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes, and the Uruguayan Film and Audiovisual Agency (ACAU), with the support of Creative Europe MEDIA, the first edition of VS TECH presents the screening “Humans + AI: In Action.” This curated program, part of the official market activities, showcases a selection of projects in which artificial intelligence plays an active role within the audiovisual creative process.
The selected works — encompassing short films, experimental pieces, and microfictions — illustrate the convergence between human expression and technological innovation applied to artistic creation. Each piece offers a unique perspective on the role of AI in narrative development, visual composition, sound design, and sensory experience.
Through this initiative, VS TECH underscores its commitment to exploring emerging intersections between art, science, and technology, while fostering dialogue among creators, developers, and institutions that promote audiovisual innovation throughout Latin America.
