VS DOCS! 2025 – Award-Winning Projects
Ventana Sur Docs is the section of Ventana Sur dedicated to promoting Latin American documentaries in the international market. Aimed at industry professionals, creators, producers, sales agents, distributors, festivals, and platforms, it offers a series of activities that include pitching projects in development and work in progress, one-to-one meetings, panel discussions between filmmakers, and spaces for exchange on topics related to documentaries.
This year’s call for entries attracted projects from all over Latin America and added projects from Spain through a coordinated call for entries between VS Rio de La Plata, Ventana Sur Docs, and ICAA. After a thorough evaluation process, eight feature films in development and six feature films in progress were chosen to be part of this edition’s official selection.
The selection of projects in development was made by the VS DOCS team together with curators Mariana Barassi and Juan Alvarez Neme, who brought their expert insight and international sensibility to the curation of the projects.
The selection of projects in progress was carried out by the VS DOCS team together with curators Micaela Solé and Emilio Silva Torres, who contributed with their expertise and global point of view to the curation of the projects.
The selected titles will compete for international awards granted by our partners, which will allow them to continue promoting their projects, strengthen strategic alliances, and advance in the search for financing and co-production partners.
In addition, all projects will be part of our One-to-One Meetings, where they will meet with leading professionals from the local and international industry, generating valuable opportunities for collaboration and development.
