Promoting Latin American Fiction Films in Post-Production Stage

This is Ventana Sur’s section intended for the promotion of Latin American fictional feature films in their post-production stage.

It seeks to link the participating films (as well as those selected for Copia Final & FIP) with sales agents, international film festival programmers, producers and film industry managers registered for Ventana Sur.

The curators will select six films which will compete, among other incentives, for Post-production Services Awards. The selected films will be screened in movie theaters, being also available as Catch Up Screenings through Cinando for Ventana Sur’s registered participants within a month after the Market’s ending. The six chosen films will also be showcased in Ventana Sur’s Industry in Progress Catalog.

Primer Corte films which, during the registration process, the section’s curators judge to be in a “close to completion” stage –and therefore may not need post-production awards– could be invited to participate in the Copia Final section.

Films registered for Primer Corte which for different reasons stand out, may also be invited to participate in the Films in Progress section. These films will be highlighted by showcasing them in the Market’s video-library and providing exclusive access to them through Cinando to producers, sales agents, distributors and international film festival programmers registered at Ventana Sur for up to one month after the Market’s ending. These films will also be showcased in Ventana Sur’s Industry in Progress Catalog.

CINE+FESTIVAL

Award for distribution: € 15.000 to the french distributor that acquires the film in the next two years.

TITRAFILM is proud to support the winning producer of Primer Corte with:

  • €5,000 worth of services for image or sound editing or sound mixing or color grading,
  • €2,000 worth of services for digital deliverables (DCP, ProRes, KDM, packages).

This award underscores TITRAFILM’s commitment to empowering emerging talents in cinema post-production.

LE FILM FRANÇAIS / CANNES MARKET FILM NEWS

Presentation of the chosen film in one of the editions of Le film francais and in one of the editions of Cannes Market Film News, at the next Marché du Film.

Festival de Trieste – APCLAI (Organizer of the Ibero-Latin American Film Festival of Trieste, Italy)/FESTIVAL DE TRIESTE

a) Subtitling into a European Union language for the selected film (valid from 1/1/25 to 30/6/25).
b) The winning film will have the right to participate in the Official Contemporary Section or the Official Section of the Festival del Cinema Ibero-Latino Americano di Trieste (finished film). The winning features must be a premiere in Italy at the time of participating in the Festival, unless they have been selected at the Venice, Rome (Festa del Cinema di Roma), Taormina, and/or Torino International festivals.

Award of US$ 10.000.- Destined to a Primer Corte or Copia Final film

The prize consists of 1 (one) of the post-production services offered by the Company: (for a Brazilian film).

R$ 25,000 in post-production services (approximately 5,200 USD)

PREMIO DALE!

10,000€ for a film shortlisted in Primer Corte or Final Cut that is a co-production between Latin America and Europe.
