Ventana Sur organizes more than 100 market screenings of Latin American and European films. Sales agencies can book screenings in Buenos Aires for their most recent films through 23 October 2023.

RULES FOR SCREENINGS AT VENTANA SUR

Before completing the form, please read the terms and conditions for requesting a screening at Ventana Sur.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Ventana Sur gives you the opportunity to screen your most outstanding productions from Monday 27 November to Friday 01 December 2023.

1.1.1. Latam Screenings

• Screenings may be requested for feature films directed by a Latin American director and produced or co-produced by a Latin American producer, which have not been screened (at any festival or commercial screening) before 01 November 2022 and which have not been part of previous editions of the market (except for Primer Corte and Blood Window as a work in progress).
• Screenings are reserved exclusively for films represented by a sales agency. Priority will be given to films that have never been screened at film markets before.

1.1.2. European Screenings

• Screenings can only be requested for feature films directed by a European director and produced or co-produced by a European producer, which have not been screened (at any festival, market or commercial screening) until 01 July 2023 (e.g. films screened at TIFF, Busan or AFM could be submitted) and which have not been part of previous editions of the market (except for First Cut and Blood Window as a work in progress).
• Screenings are reserved exclusively for films represented by a sales agency. Priority will be given to films that have never been screened at film markets before.

1.2. Screenings

• The company agrees to send the screening material digitally in DCP format in English (audio or subtitles), following the instructions duly provided by the screenings team.
• All screening copies are checked before the screening. However, it is recommended to do your own check. It is therefore recommended that companies send their films as soon as possible.
• All films must have an accredited contact person at Ventana Sur.
• The online screening form must be completed digitally by 23 October 2023.

2. Confirmation of screenings

• Once we receive your application, we will contact you via email. Screenings will be confirmed based on availability.
• Screenings will be confirmed once payment has been made. The deadline for payment is 23 October 2023.
• The date and time of the screening will be confirmed by 13 November 2023 at the latest.

3. Price and billing

• The cost per screening is 200 euros. VAT is added at 20% for companies based in France.
• Invoices will be issued by the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes.

4. Print Traffic

• The DCP must be delivered digitally according to the instructions of the screenings team by 3 November 2023. We suggest that you do this as soon as possible.
• If this date is not respected, our team will not be responsible for the screening conditions and no refunds can be claimed.
• Once the screening is confirmed, you will receive upload instructions.

5. Access to screenings

• Access to the theaters is strictly reserved for accredited persons. Sales agencies requesting the screening may determine whether access is reserved to industry accredited persons only (sales agents, distributors, festival programmers or TV network representatives), or to all Ventana Sur accredited persons.
• The company will have the option to include access to journalists.

6. Video Library 

• If required, the films screened in theaters will be available free of charge at the video library. For this purpose, the corresponding form must be filled out on the Ventana Sur website to provide the required information.

7. Cancellation terms 

• Cancellations received after 03 November 2023 must be paid in full.
