Ventana Sur organizes more than 80 market screenings of Latin American and European films.
Sales agents may request screenings in Buenos Aires for their most recent films until October 31, 2025.
SCREENING REGULATIONS – VENTANA SUR RÍO DE LA PLATA 2025
Before completing the application form, please read the following terms and conditions carefully.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1.1. Screening eligibility
1.1.1. Latin American screenings
Sales agents may request screenings for feature films that:
- Are directed by a Latin American filmmaker.
- Are produced or co-produced by a Latin American producer.
- Have not premiered at festivals or had a commercial release before November 1, 2024.
- Have not participated in previous editions of the market (except in the Primer Corte and Fantastic sections as works in progress).
These screenings are strictly reserved for films represented by a sales agency. Priority will be given to those not yet presented at other film markets.
1.1.2. European screenings
Sales agents may request screenings for feature films that:
- Are directed by a European filmmaker.
- Are produced or co-produced by a European producer.
- Have not screened at festivals, markets, or had a commercial release before July 1, 2025 (exceptions apply for titles shown at TIFF, Busan, or AFM, among others).
- Have not participated in previous editions of the market (except in the Primer Corte and Fantastic sections as works in progress).
As with Latin American screenings, requests may only be made by sales agencies, with priority given to films not yet shown at other markets.
1.2. Submission of materials
- Files must be submitted in DCP or digital file format, with English audio or subtitles, following the instructions provided by the Screenings team.
- While materials will be checked beforehand, companies are strongly encouraged to perform their own verification prior to delivery.
- All screenings must have a designated contact person accredited at Ventana Sur.
- The online application form must be completed no later than October 31, 2025.
2. Screening confirmation
- Once the request is received, confirmation will be sent by email, subject to availability.
- The screening will only be considered confirmed once payment has been made (deadline: November 07, 2025).
- Assigned date and time will be communicated before November 17, 2025.
3. Price and invoicing
- Screening fee: 225 euros.
- An additional 20% VAT will be applied to companies based in France.
- Invoicing will be handled by the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes.
4. Delivery deadlines for materials
- Screening materials must be delivered digitally no later than November 7, 2025.
- Early delivery is strongly recommended.
- Ventana Sur is not responsible for issues arising from late deliveries, and no refunds will be issued in such cases.
- Detailed delivery instructions will be provided once the screening is confirmed.
5. Access to screenings
- Access to screening rooms is strictly limited to accredited participants.
- Sales agencies may decide whether to restrict access to industry professionals only (sales agents, distributors, programmers, TV networks) or open it to all accredited participants of Ventana Sur.
- Agencies may also authorize access to press.
6. Videolibrary
- Films screened in theaters may also be made available in the Videolibrary at no additional cost.
- To do so, the corresponding form on the Ventana Sur website must be completed, including all required information.
7. Cancellation policy
- Any cancellation after November 13, 2025 will not be refunded.

SCREENINGS REPRESENTED BY ARGENTINE SALES AGENTS
Sales agencies based in Argentina may request, free of charge, one (1) screening for a feature film, provided it meets the general eligibility conditions set forth in sections 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 of the regulations. As an additional requirement, the agency must have previously participated in at least three international film markets in order to submit the film in this section.
