Even though Ibero-American productions have found their place in the European market, what are the challenges and opportunities in this global industry growing and transforming at an ever-increasing pace? What is the situation of exhibition and distribution of Latin cinema today?

Antonio Saura, Managing Director, Latido Films

Antonio Saura comes from a family of filmmakers. In his long career in the industry he has produced successful and award-winning films with directors like Carlos Saura, Pablo Solarz, Antonio Hernández, Miguel Albaladejo, Gerardo Herrero or José Luis Cuerda among others. As producer of documentaries, he has a long relationship with José Luis López Linares with whom he has produced or coproduced more than 10 award-winning documentaries that have been shown in all major festivals. Since 2015 he is Director General of Latido.

Vicente Canales, Managing Director, Film Factory Entertainment

Vicente Canales started his career in 1998 at the Spanish distribution, production and sales company, Filmax. He found his calling in the international sales department, where he was in charge of selling the REC Franchise, “The Machinist” by Brad Anderson and many more.

Simon de Santiago Aréizaga, Producer, MOD Producciones

Born in Burgos (Spain) in 1971, Simón de Santiago is an independent producer at MOD Producciones together with Fernando Bovaira, based in Madrid. At MOD he has produced films by Alejandro Amenábar, such as “Agora”, “Regresión” or “Mientras Dure la Guerra”, and titles such as “Biutiful” by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, which received two Oscar nominations. He also took part in co-productions such as “La Cordillera” by Santiago Mitre or “La Odisea de los Giles” by Sebastian Borensztein.
