No question about it: The film and TV markets, like any other, are becoming increasingly globalized, while they still have very high demand and have been dominated by the US industry for ages.
Beyond successful domestic productions, co-productions are the only possibility to stay competitive on the international stage. But a critical approach to the challenges and the chances of co-productions remains crucial. I would like to exemplify my work method in discussing case studies of some of my most successful co- productions, such as the “Millennium” trilogy, “The Killing” and the most recent “Greyzone” and “The Baztan” trilogy.
